Electrical Double layer

Everyone,

I am trying to model the electrical double layer next to a charged surface, but I always get error messages that the solution did not converge.
Just in a general way, I'm trying to find out if I have to solve the electrostatics and the transport of diluted species together or one after another?

Does anyone have experience with that?
