How to apply compressive and tensile stress at the boundaries

I am working on a model of a metal-nanowire-metal structure in 2D using the General Form PDE and would like to study the stress-strain relationship of this model. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can apply a boundary load according to the following methods.
1. Apply compressive/tensile stress at the boundaries that are perpendicular to the c-axis of the rectangular domain.
2. Fix one of the two boundaries that is perpendicular to the c-axis and apply a lateral bending force at the other boundary. For this one, I found the following example (www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjSdI9lxpy8), but because I am using General Form PDE the "boundary load" option is not available. Is there a way this can be done using the General Form?
Thank you,
Sia
