Periodic Pair Index (boundary settings)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am trying to simulate the interaction between a rotating permanent magnet with a stationary permanent magnet and sandwiched between them are a bunch of circular loops of copper wires. I have successfully been able to simulate a counter clockwise rotating magnet but the results are not what I have expected and when I tried to simulate the power dissipation and induced eddy current in the copper wires, the results are not what I have expected either. Can anyone please kindly show me how to proceed with this simulation or point me into the right direction?

I also notice that there is a field called "periodic pair index" in the boundary settings, and I believe this will allow me to solve the simulation problem. I have looked up many sources and documentations but I have not found a source that fully explain this option.

Thank you for your time,

Siu
