Using 2 Models - duplicate variables?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,
I want to plot the difference in surface temperature between a model that experiences deformation and one that doesn't. By looking through the COMSOL forums, I found that I should be able to create 2 models, and solve for each in separate studies. Then I should be able to say plot(mod1.T-mod2.T) or something like that.

Anyways, when I go to solve I get the error message, 'duplicate variable names'. The variables listed in the error message seem to be global variables that I did not enter, but that are automatically found (i.e. x, xTIME, etc). Does anyone know what is going on and how to get this to work? Thakn you!

Austin

Hi

be sure you have separate variable names for you two models and two physics, then normally it should work. (often it's useful to use latests patch too ;)

Good luck
