Building a custom solver

Hello,

I am trying to build a solver that performs a single iteration step . For example, I do not want the solver to perform iterations until a steady state is reached for flow between flat plates.

I cannot use the inbuilt stationary solver as it would run iterations until steady state is reached. Could you please give some advice about how to do this?
