Hi , I need to identify/detect/ascertain whether is there any shock during a compressssible turbulent flow through a Converging -Diverging nozzle. Can anyone help me how to identify or calculate or show shocks by COMSOL simulation? Is there any method that helps me? Any kind of help will be highly appreciated .Thanks

Dear MD Farhadul Islam,

you can use the "High Mach Number Flow" Interface included in the CFD Module to model fully compressible flow. You can visualize shocks e.g. by plotting density or density gradients. Example models can be found here: https://www.comsol.com/models?q=hmnf
