A 125-micron-diameter fiber (glass filament), 3 Km in length, is continuously passed through a 6 m length of retractable tube at a speed of 40 m/s. The temperature of the glass filament entering the inlet of the tube is 900 °C. The circular tube is filled with helium which is relatively stationary on the tube wall. The diameter of the copper tube is 10 mm, and the temperature of the copper tube wall is constant at 20° C. The glass filament is maintained on the centerline of the copper tube during the movement. Find the temperature when the glass filament exits the copper tube
