Modelling a pneumatic joint using the Multibody dynamics module

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone, I am trying to simulate a pneumatic joint using the multibody dynamics module in comsol. This joint is part of a suspension system that I am working on. I am not sure if there's a specific way to simulate such joints. What I have done so far is to define a prismatic joint and then apply a "Spring Foundation" module on the surface of the edge of the joint.

The study runs, but I'm not sure the results are correct.

So my question is, how would you go about modelling a pneumatic joint in Comsol?

Many thanks, Andreas
