Hello every one. I am trying to model the laser melting in the additive manyfacturing to get the correct meltpool temperature field. for this means I must have the correct phase change in the system. I used the phase change example fr ice from Comsol blog. But there is an issue. During additive manufacturing we have an on going melting the block of metal with laser and later solidification of the melt pool. I use a heat transfer wuth phase change module and set the initial phase as solid, and the second phase as liquid to model the melting, knmowing the melting point and latent heat. But how should I consider the second phase change which is the solidification of melt pool.
