rem command (MATLAB)

I have used the following expression in Dirichlt boundary condition in the 'r' column and succesfully solved the 1D PDE coefficinet form model in COMSOL 3.5. But same file I tried to run in COMSOL 3.5a. It shows error shown in the attached file.

.0195*(rem(t,2*tp)/2/tp<.5)+0*(rem(t,2*tp)/2/tp>=.5)

Is there any problem using 'rem' command in comsol 3.5a?

Can any one explain this?
