How to compute Time Period, Wavelength information from Displacement/Time Graph?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear All,

I am fairly new to COMSOL & my objective is to study the response of various structures to induced earthquake motion. I have managed to produce a set of results showcasing the pressure and shear waves travelling beneath the surface as a result of the shaking.

Please find attached the Displacement/Time Graph obtained from the displacement of a point 10m below ground of a 3 storey concrete building. (w, u, v components)

However, I wish to now find out the time period, average time period and wavelength of the resulting waves. Is there a function, operation or way I can plot this from the information I have obtained?

I would greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you, MM
