Effect of electric field on charged particles

Let me brief what I am trying to do. I want to simulate a model in which I am illuminating a block of silicon with high energy particles and after applying a certain potential to the block, I want to trace how the charge paticles generated inside the block behave with applied potential. I am able to get the E field value from the electrostatics module and when I am trying to use the same in charge particle tracing module I am getting error like : Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged.

I am new to COMSOL. May be my approach is wrong. Kindly help. Any inputs would be highly appreciated.
