shallow channel approximation for microfluidics

What is people's opinion of this feature?

What range of aspect ratio (width to thickness) do you find that the approximation tends to yield accurate results (if any)? Are there any "tricks" to getting the most accurate results using this?

Just trying to figure out if my results are typical...
