a formula for inlet velocity field

Hi,
everyone.
In comsol 4.1 there is a model about ICP plasma.In the 'Laminar Flow 'physic?there is a formula setted for the inlet velocity field:
(1-(1-s)^2)*20*tanh(1E5*t)
,in this case, what does the "s" means?

I know it now.''s" means the distance measured fron the starting point in the boundary.The starting point you can distinguish fron the arrow of the boundary line.
