Nonlinear Frequency Response

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am interested in modelling the effect of geometric non-linearity on the frequency response of a resonator. However, most of the problem seems to be linearised. I am trying to generate a nonlinear backbone curve when a resonator is driven at higher amplitudes. I guess a transient analysis can be performed to get displacement and time data. From that, FRF can be obtained using an external software, and process the data to eventually get backbone (softening curve) curve. Is there a straightforward method in COMSOL?
