Using a sliced 3D solution in a 2D simulation

Hello, I have a model file which contains a 3D and 2D geometry. The 2D geometry was created from the 3D geometry using a cross section. I would like to use the solution of the 3D geometry, evaluated at the plane of the cross section, in the 2D simulation as a source field. Is it possible? Thank you Daniel
