The padlock symbol indicates that some modifications of a variable or the underlying equations or constraints that the node defines have been made in its Equation View subnode, so it is a reminder that those changes might affect some aspects of the computed solution. If you want to remove all changes made in the Equation View subnode, select it and click the Reset All button at the top of its Settings window. The padlock symbol will then disappear.
