Blood perfusion in Cryotherapy simulation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all, I'm trying to simulate cryotherapy in tissue and I need to solve bioheat equation, accounting for the blood perfusion, and also add a term to that to account for the phase change. In order to solve this in COMSOL, I need to use the "Bioheat transfer" module and add a "phase change material" solver to that, right? but when I'm adding the "phase change material" solver to the "bioheat transfer" module, the "bioheat" solver will be automatically "overridden" by the "phase change"! we'll still have blood perfusion in the unfrozen state so I added a piecewise function accounting for the temperature dependent blood perfusion and added to the "bioheat" solver but COMSOL overrides it when I add "phase change material". do you know how I can solve this? Thanks Pegah
