QUESTION ABOUT MODEL VOLUME AROUND PHYSICAL PARTS

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, there,

I tried to calculate the capacitance of two parallel materials. I searched the capacitance calculations with Comsol and saw some people model a volume to contain these two materials. So I tried to create a new big block to contain them. However, I cannot change the block material to air. How can I set the model volume to contain these two materials?

It will be appericated if anyone can give me some hints

Thanks

Jeff

Hi

if you change your geometry after a model is fully build (topology change), you need to check all your physics, as often this changes the numbering of the domains and boundaries, and COMSOL cannot always remap them correctly without some "human" help. the new domains might also have to be added to the phyics

Could that be your issue ?

Good luck
