How to calculate effective mode Index (Real and Imaginary part) for 3D structure in comsol?

Hello,

I have been trying to analyze the effect of change of height on effective mode index, in a 3D structure using emw physics. However, like 2D as there is no mode analysis in 3D strucutre, so I am confused how to effective mode index of 3D strucutre in Comsol.
