Friction and convergence problems

I have a very simple model. A tube in another tube to which I want to slide a ring on it. So I have two contact surfaces. I would like to add friction between the tube and the ring during the displacement. The simulation without friction works without problems, but when I add friction, convergence problems occur. What is the reason and what should I do? How can I avoid convergence problems?
Thank you.
