Structural Mechanics Model Deforming More than Realistic

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

This is my first time working with the structural mechanics module. I have a small, simple part and am conducting a stationary analysis. My problem is that is deforming much more than seems realistic even when subjected to a very small load. Please see the attached file. Any helpis much appreciated.

Figured it out. For those who think they have the same issue, the default deformation plot applies a scaling factor to exagerate the deformation so that it is visible. The actual deformation is much less than the depicted
