Can we extended Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) from 1D to 2D?

Hello! everyone.

Well, I see the COMSOL document (Multiphysics 4.1) about the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) model however, it is 1D simulation.
Can we extended Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) model from 1D to 2D simulation?
