Modelling Stirrer with Non-Newtonian, Power Law fluid

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone

I have tried simulating a pump with non-newtonian fluid being circulated. I have modified the model from library chemEngg/Mixers n stirrers/Schematic Pump1. I replaced Incompressible Navier Stokes with Non-Newtonian, Power Law fluid.

I tried solving for transient solution with rotating blades using Moving Mesh ALE
The solution has hard time converging. I tried Direct PARDISO, UMFPACK and with Generalized Alpha and BDF schemes.

Can you provide suggestions on how I can improve convergence and a better approach to solve power law or any other Non-Newtonian fluids.

Thanks
Praveen
