Helix with arbitrary cross-section

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I have used the command helix3 from MATLAB in order to model a helix-shaped coil. I am also trying to model a band coil, with rectangular cross section. Are there any way to make a helix with a cross section that is not circular, such as revolving with an offset in z-direction?

Any help or alternative solution will be appreciated.

I have a very similar problem. I want to generate a 3D helix geometry with rectengular section.
