Earthquake structure

Hi. I tried to use the example (in the library). If I plot the axial stress on the column, all pillar are in traction (not in compression). Why ? Is there a problem into the model ?

By definition, all result quantities from a response spectrum analysis are without sign. They are computed by ‘square root of sum of squares’ type expressions. You can see the math on our Cyclopedia page, https://www.comsol.com/multiphysics/response-spectrum-analysis
