Self Capacitance of a Multi-Turn Coil

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello, I am trying to calculate the self-capacitance of a Coil ( Air Core) made of copper. Coil tube Outer dia = 6 mm. Inner Dia = 4 mm. The dia of the coil = 53 mm. Pitch = 6.4 mm. The number of turns: 15. I have tried several methods, but the value is not even closer ( too too less) to empirical formulas results.

Can anyone help, please? My project is in the middle way because of this.

I suggest that you post your model (the .mph file) to the forum. I also want to encourage you to describe each of the methods that you tried to use and how they differed from one another, including the principles you attempted to apply in using each one, the results you obtained from each one, and finally those specific "empirical formulas" (and results you obtained from them) as well. Then, everyone reading your question will be very well-prepared to help you!
