COMSOL process pauses, when windows screen goes black

Comsol Multiphysics STOPS processing on a users computer when the screen goes black because of power saving features forced onto windows laptops, and the fan goes quiet quite noticeably. The computer is still on, it's NOT in sleep mode, just a black screen. But when the user logs back on, the processing continues, CPU goes back to 100% and the fans turns back to full again. Does anyone know if this is meant to happen? How to stop it?

For now she has to keep the screen alive every 5-15 minutes by hand for the processing to continue... It is just the screen going black. I can force it to happen by pressing Windows+L (Lock screen), the screen goes black shortly after, and then the fan just dies out 100-0% instantly, and if we wait a few seconds and then logon, we can see that the CPU time went down to normal, and the Processing % paused, but continues when she's logged on again.
