CAD Import with layers

Hello,

I am trying to import CAD file in dxf format with some layers defined in it. When I import the file, the "Object selections" panel which lists the layers do not show up. It is very important for me to have this selection available as I have to assign materials for simulation.

How do I make that "Object selections" panel visible?

I am attaching a sample geometry file that I am using to test this functionality.
