Matlab Livelink: Plotting features rather than whole geometries

Is there a method to plot features rather than full geometries when using matlab livelink? (like mphgeom)

Say I put a sphere inside of a box and I want to make sure the sphere is in there. If I execute
mphgeom(model,'goem1') all I see is the box. Is there a way to make the box an outline or just plot the faces of the sphere?
