Finding insertion loss for SAW sensor

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

Im trying to plot insertion loss using formula -20log10|Vin/Vout|. Im using time dependent analysis and then time to FFT for calculation of ouput voltage.

Im giving impulse voltage as said in the attached paper. i.e. Vin = 1V for 0<= t<=1ns and 0 V t>1ns for even input IDT. Odd input IDT kept ground. For output IDT kept floating potential.

Im using interpolation function to give input voltage condition and time step 1ns and total time 200ns. Im not able to get required insertion loss.

Please help me.

Thanks Rai
