Swirling Flow Around a Rotating Disk

So I've been working through the Swirling Flow Around a Rotating Disk Model:
www.uk.comsol.com/showroom/gallery/616/
It's really impressive.
I'm just wondering if it would be possible to model the swirling flow on top of the disk (looking down from above)? Does anybody have any tips about how I would go about altering the model in order to be able to view the flow directly on top the disk? I'm interested in looking at the flow patterns on the disk as the flow changes form laminar to turbulent.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
