Question concerning coordinate systems in anisotropic materials

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everybody,

I am currently working on a model that has a similar geometry to the wind turbine tutorial model developed by you : Similar geometry I currently do not possess the composites extension.

My main objective is to simulate the heat transfer of said geometry using a single anisotropic material for the blades, with the thermal condictivity matrix similar as the following :

W/(m.K)

My question is rather simple :

Is the boundary system (created automatically) applied to the part during the heat transfer calculations ? If yes, does it take into account the rather complex geometry of the part or do I need to create a new coordinate system adapted to it ?

Thank you for your time !
