Strange transmission graph with different polarization?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, I am learning Comsol and I am doing some trials to understand better the simulations.

I have empty space, period conditions and full field. In the input port I inject a circular polarized wave (Ex=1, Ey=j, Ez=0) and in the output port I set a linear polarized wave (Ex=1, Ey=0, Ez=0).

When I see the transmission as a function of the frequency I would expect always 0.5, or at least something constant. Instead I see a graph like the one that I have attached. Why?

Thank you
