Acoustic S Parameters Calculation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am having some difficulty in calculating the acoustic S parameters in COMSOL 4.2a.

1) What parameter should be measured to calculate the S Parameters? Should it be the acoustic pressure [Pascals] or the Sound Pressure level [ Decibels]?

2) I have taken the line integral of the scattered acoustic pressure level (acpr.p_s) at 2 lines- one which is on the same side of the materal as that of the incident wave [for reflected part] and one on the opposite side of the material as compared to the incident wave [for the transmitted part]. Is this a correct approach? Should I take the line integral at a very large distance from the material or at a point that is very close to the material?

Please help out.
