Damping in time dependent study

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone,

I´m doing a time dependent study on a solid mechanics structure and I´m wondering how do I insert a damping loss in the model?

I actually have a clamped-free beam, pushed in one direction for some time and then released, the problem is that the beam keep vibrating without any damping. Using the sub-node "damping" under linear elestic material doesn´t seem to work. What should I do?

Bests,
Edoardo.
