How to obtain the fundamental mode of fiber by using 2D axisymmetry axis

Hello Everyone, I try to use the Optic Wave module to simulate the fundamental mode of fiber in the 2D axisymmetry axis, but the results show the higher-order modes. Maybe in 2D axisymmetry axis, the electric field distribution also should be 2D axisymmetry? Because the fundamental mode is not 2D axisymmetry.

That's correct. If you use a symmetry, the whole physics, all the fields, has to respect this symmetry, not just the geometry.

Thanks for your reply. This is different from the Rsoft and maybe wait for improvement.
