Solution instability in 2D axis-symmetric model

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a 3D model with three concentric spheres of increasing radii, the goal of my simulation being the evaluation of the acoustic pressure field at various points on the largest sphere. To save on computation time, I have created a 90 degree sector with a symmetry condition orthogonal to the axis of rotation in a 2D axis-symmetric geometry.

Along the axis of symmetry the result closely matches what I would expect; however, along the axis of rotation the solution is extremely unstable (see attached picture). I'm wondering if there are any meshing or physics options I should be incorporating to improve stability of the solution on the axis of revolution.

Thanks for your time,
Mike

Just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiences?
