Grinding simulation

Hi everyone,

I have been working in a grinding simulation model. The idea is to displace a cylindrical body, placed between a grinding wheel and a 2° tilted (in z-direction) regulating wheel, in y-direction.
At the sub-domain settings is applied to the central cylinder a prescribed displacement in '-y' anyhow it does not produces the expected results.
If I set to boudary 10 a symmetry plane constraint the von Mises stress concentrates on this boundary and if I set it to free the stress is null.
Several possibilities I have tried but I still do not have convergence and a desired result which would be the stress distribution all over the central cylinder.
Could anyone please help me understand what I am doing wrong?
I am attaching the model file to the this post!

Thanks in advance!

Hesdras

Hi!

Have you made progress with this simulation?

Thanks
