How to create a meshing effect like this

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi guys,

I'm doing a 2D-Axisymmetric model, and I'm attempting to achieve a mesh which looks like this. The dark lines in the center are membrane boundaries.

1. I've tried to create multiple layers. One layer would be for rectangles, one for the free triangles. However, this only allows me to create a layer from the side, and not from the top.

Could I get some suggestions on how I can achieve this structure? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
you have to use the virtual operations in geometry.
Mesh control domain or edges.. play with it, it is quite straightforward.
Then in the mesh settings you can control the sizes of those virtual set control geometries.
Probably you need some control domain to set the rectangular mesh in a general tetrahedral one.

good luck..
