Hello,

Does anyone knows if Comsol using finite volume or finite difference for heat transfer module?

It uses finite elements in a large fraction of cases. There are as well other techniques used for radiation. And possible couplings with particle tracing... etc.

In return, that would be interesting to know why you would consider a technique in favor of another one?

Thanks,
