Eigen analysis normalization

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,
I'm performing modal analysis with Wave Optics and AC/DC modules, in order to calculate the overlap integral between the resulting solution of this 2 physics.

I've realized that the fields resulting by the modal analysis are scaled values, which depend on the normalization used.
I would like to know if there any phisical basis in order to perform the normalization and get the appropriate values of the fields.

Any suggestion on how to perform normalization?
Thank you in advance.
Best,
Domenico
