Induction heating with a moving coil

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone,

i am currently working on a model for induction heating of carbon fiber reinforced plastics. As a part of my work i have to model a induction heating process with a moving coil, but there are not enough informations about this type of simulations. I used the following modeling procedure - i splited the air volume between the coil and the plate in two parts: the first part containing the coil is in motion, the second part with the plate is fixed (attached file). I found the following problem in the simulation - the temperature field could not be transfered from one step to another.
Does anyone now how to solve this problem or is there a better way to simulate such a complicated process?

Thanks in advance!
