Informations about iterative solvers and preconditioners

Hy

In order to solve a multiphysic problem (Navier Stokes and Structural strain), I use an iterative solver for it (I try GMRES and BiGCStab). But I don't get any results.

So I want more informations about this type of solver (I already read documentation), and about the preconditioner Vanka (I heard that it's useful for Navier Stokes problems) I want to customize the parameters of this preconditioner.
