HEAT TRANSFER IN SOLIDS

Hi everyone,

I'm a beginner in Comsol and I have a problem I can't find a solution for.
my model is in 2D. i have a spiral heater on platinum. Heater geometry was analyzed by applying a potential of up to 5V to heater contacts. Boundary conditions are added on the electrical and thermal field. At the end, wherein we apply the potential, the temperature is maintained fixed and the other ends are thermally insulated in order to achieve the higher Joule’s heating profile. The heater contacts were maintained at 293.15 °K. The inward heat flux is set 5 w m-2 k-1. but there is no change in temperature value. can you help me? The designs and simulations have been carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics 4.3b
thank you

Souhir
