Does anyone know if Comsol will work with the new OS X operating system or will it require an update?

The next version of COMSOL Multiphysics, version 5.2, will be compatible with OS X El Capitan. We expect this version to be released later this fall. Initial tests indicate that the current version 5.1 will also work with OS X El Capitan. However, more extensive testing is under way to determine if any software update is needed.

[Updated 10/6/15] Further testing revealed that there are certain stability problems with running version 5.1 with OS X El Capitan. We are continuing our investigations and will post new information as it becomes available.

COMSOL 5.1 Update 3 is compatible with Mac OS X El Capitan after applying a dedicated patch. See www.comsol.com/product-update/5.1-mac-os-10-11
