Updating Boundary condition at each time step

I am solving a problem using single phase laminar flow.
I want to get the velocity field at each time step and calculate the spatial derivative of the velocity on the boundary, and use that to update the boundary condition.
I can use the shear rate (spf.sr) for du/dy but what about dv/dy?
Does anyone have any suggestion about that?
Thanks for your help
