How do I simulate a non-periodic nano-structures for plasmonics?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello.

I want to simulate a non-periodic structure for plasmonics.

for now, I can simulate periodic plasmonic nano-structures.(e.g. nano-hole array, post, grating, etc.)

by using periodic ports and floquet boundary condition (like as plasmonic wire-grating tutorial).

and simulation results with periodic structures fit well for experimental results.

but..

i don't know how I use boundary conditions properly for non-periodic conditions...
(also, can i use port?)

i want to simulate just finite width of structure.

but most of nano-plasmonic simulations are focused on periodic structure.

please, help me.

thank you.
