Conjugate Heat Transfer for Wireless Power Amplifier
Wireless power transfer is an emerging technology with many potential applications. This technology may be of particular value when remotely controlled in extreme physical conditions.
This study explores the ability of the COMSOL software to predict the performance of thermal management systems coupled with a commercially available wireless power amplifier. This study has undertaken the task of maintaining stable working temperatures for a commercially available wireless power amplifier in high-temperature environments.
Models utilized available information for the geometry and thermal properties of a commercially available heat sink affixed to a wireless power amplifier. Using commonly available materials to create a forced-air environment, multiple solutions were modeled.
