VSS History of a Particle

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I’m simulating the flow of particles though a simple 2D tube with a centered orifice by using the particle trajectory module (see fig2). The simulation works well and the results are nice.

But now, I’m trying to calculate the viscous shear stress history of a particle over the exposure time according to the attached formula (fig1) and visualise the results directly in COMSOL.

Which expression to I need to calculate the summation of the instantaneous shear stress times the exposure time? And visualise the results with a particle trajectory surface plot with color expression.

Thanks,

Patrice
